The announcement was made at a special event in Gothenburg, Sweden, marking four years of intensive collaboration on the OPPO Find Series premium product line.

OPPO and Hasselblad will now jointly develop the next-generation imaging system for mobile devices, with the aim of setting a new standard in photography quality and experience for users.
The partnership between OPPO and Hasselblad is shaped by a solid technical foundation and close coordination between R&D teams.
Over the past four years, each generation of the Find Series smartphones has been the result of a joint research and development process between the two parties; with the goal of creating a hardware system and image processing algorithms to fully bring the legendary Hasselblad photography experience to OPPO mobile devices.
“Our partnership with Hasselblad stems from our shared passion for innovation and commitment to delivering exceptional imaging experiences,” said Pete Lau, Chief Product Officer at OPPO. “Over the past four years, we have successfully introduced the professional and legendary Hasselblad camera experience to OPPO users around the world. This expansion of our partnership will further motivate us to push the boundaries of mobile imaging technology and take it even further.”
Some of the notable innovations include: Hasselblad Natural Color Filters, which are specially tuned for mobile devices; Hasselblad Portrait Mode, which simulates the bokeh effect in the style of classic lenses; Master Mode, which simulates colors according to the Hasselblad X2D camera series; and XPAN Photo Mode, which recreates Hasselblad's signature 65:24 aspect ratio, are also introduced to users.

Following the success, OPPO and Hasselblad are extremely excited about the cooperation ahead.
By integrating Hasselblad's classic aesthetics with OPPO's leading mobile imaging technology, the two parties expect to deliver superior image quality and a distinct visual signature, enabling global users to easily create impressive photographic works.
The next-generation photography system is being jointly researched and developed by OPPO and Hasselblad, and is expected to set a new standard for quality and photography experience on future smartphones. Specific details will be announced at an event taking place in late 2025.

At the event, OPPO also shared its 17-year journey of investing in developing imaging technology on mobile devices. Some notable milestones include: the world's first stacked CMOS sensor integrated on the OPPO Find 5 launched in 2012, pixel binning technology on the OPPO R9 in 2016, and the first periscope telephoto camera launched in 2017.
OPPO continuously improves image quality with each generation of Find X flagship through innovation in hardware, software and design language.

This philosophy is clearly demonstrated on the latest flagship model, OPPO Find X8 Ultra. The device integrates an advanced multi-lens Penta Camera system with the industry's first True Chroma color sensor, along with revolutionary AI Bokeh Technology, allowing for natural blur effects, separating subjects at a high level of detail, down to the hair's edge.
Master Mode supports 50MP JPEG Max and 16-bit RAW Max high-quality output, fully exploiting the sensor's potential. These innovations demonstrate OPPO's determination to push the boundaries of mobile photography.
Continuing to inspire the user community, OPPO also officially launched the OPPO Photography Awards 2025 with the theme “Super Every Moment”.
With a total prize pool of over $100,000, this global competition is an invitation to creators to share their most memorable moments captured with OPPO devices.
