Pickup truck hits container truck, two people die

Nghe An: A pickup truck carrying 6 people lost control and crashed into a container truck parked on the side of the road, killing two people at 2am on July 15.

A pickup truck was traveling north-south on the Vinh City bypass when it reached Nghi Loc district and crashed into the side of a container truck parked in the same direction on the right side of the road.

The strong collision killed Nguyen Van Hoanh, 41, and Nguyen Quoc Hong, 45, both residents of Nghi Dien commune, Nghi Loc district. Four other people in the car were seriously injured and were taken to 115 General Hospital for emergency treatment.

At the scene, the front of the pickup truck was deformed due to being stuck into the side of the container truck, many pieces of debris were scattered, oil stains and blood stains were spread on the road.

Nghi Loc District Police directed traffic, dispatched tow trucks to tow the damaged vehicles and investigated the cause of the accident.
