Car burned to frame in Nha Trang

Khanh Hoa: Discovering smoke coming from the car, the driver quickly pulled over to open the door and escape before the fire engulfed him, late at night on July 24.

At around 10pm, a male driver was driving a 4-seater car on Pham Van Dong Street, heading from Tran Phu Bridge to Hon Chong area. When he reached Vinh Tho Ward, near the overpass, he discovered smoke coming from the car so he opened the door and ran away.

The driver and some nearby residents tried to put out the fire, but were unsuccessful. A few minutes later, the entire vehicle was engulfed in flames, with smoke billowing dozens of meters into the air. The heat of the fire forced many passersby to stop at a distance to avoid getting involved.

Rescue forces and specialized vehicles arrived at the scene and put out the fire within 10 minutes. The fire caused no casualties, but the car was burned to the frame, the windshield and windows were shattered.

Police are examining the scene and investigating the cause of the fire.
