Truck crashes into house, two people die

Quang Ngai: A truck with a Hau Giang license plate running on Highway 1 crashed into a household appliance store in Mo Duc town, killing two people and injuring one on the afternoon of July 21.

At 2:35 p.m., a 1.2-ton truck was traveling north-south on the national highway. When it reached Mo Duc town, it crashed into a home appliance store on the side of the road.

The accident killed two women standing in front of the house, Mrs. Tran Thi Canh (75 years old, neighbor) and Ms. Ngọt (tea seller), and slightly injured a man on a motorbike. After causing the accident, the driver fled the scene, leaving his phone in the cabin.

Two motorbikes were badly damaged by the car, some signs and people's goods were blown away and scattered everywhere. People at the scene said the accident happened in a split second. The two women had just met when the accident happened.

At 5:20 p.m., authorities used a crane to remove the car that caused the accident from the scene and searched for the driver.
