Petrolimex closes Sports Festival to celebrate 70th anniversary of establishment in the Northern Coastal region

On March 13, 2025, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group ( Petrolimex / Group) closed the Sports Festival for Workers, Civil Servants and Employees (CNVC-LĐ) in the Northern Coastal Region. The event was held at Thuong Ly Oil Department, Hai Phong City and is part of a series of Sports Festival - Competition activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Petrolimex's founding (January 12, 1956 - January 12, 2026).
Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union - Chairman of the Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union, Head of the Subcommittee of Arts and Sports to celebrate 70 years of Petrolimex Nguyen Thanh Son delivered the closing speech of the Sports Festival. Chairwoman and Director of Construction Zone III - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Northern Coastal Sports Festival Le Thi Thanh Ha spoke at the closing ceremony.
With the participation of more than 300 talented athletes from 9 Petrolimex member units, the Petrolimex Workers' Sports Festival in the Northern Coastal region has ended after 3 exciting days of competition. The intense matches took place in 12 events in 06 subjects: Football, Table Tennis, Tennis, Pickleball, Badminton and Chinese Chess. The athletes gave the audience many beautiful shots, many thrilling moments, each score, each game, each goal were extremely dramatic.
In his closing speech, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union, Head of the Subcommittee on Arts and Sports to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Petrolimex highly appreciated the detailed, scientific and thoughtfulness of the host unit - Petroleum Company Region III; the determination of the Organizing Committee of the Sports Festival, Petrolimex units in the Northern Coastal region, especially the efforts and hard work of the athletes in training and competing to create a memorable Sports Festival together. The Chairman of the Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union requested that the units continue to have activities to take better care of the material and spiritual life of employees and workers, and continue to create conditions for the physical education and sports movement to develop further.
The Northern Coastal Sports Festival is the fourth in a series of events, sports festivals - competitions towards the 70th Anniversary of Petrolimex. The Organizing Committee hopes that the successful sports festivals will encourage the spirit, create motivation for all Petrolimex employees to strive to excellently complete their professional tasks, and achieve many achievements to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Group's establishment.

Standing Deputy Secretary of Petrolimex Party Committee Dang Tran Hieu and Chairman of Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union Nguyen Thanh Son presented the Chess prize to the athletes (First Prize went to the athlete of Construction Company Region III) General Director of VIPCO Petroleum Transport Joint Stock Company Nguyen Quang Minh and Deputy Director, Chairman of Hai Duong Construction Trade Union Bui Van Men presented the prize for Table Tennis - Men's Singles (First Prize went to the athlete of Construction B12) Deputy General Director of Petrolimex Gas Corporation Do Thi Van Chi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrolimex Hai Phong Transport and Service Joint Stock Company Dao Thanh Liem and Deputy Director, Chairman of the Trade Union of Hung Yen Construction Corporation Nguyen Manh Cuong presented the prize for Table Tennis - Men's Doubles (First Prize went to the pair of athletes from Construction Corporation B12) Chairman of Hai Duong Construction Company Hoang Thanh Tung, Deputy Director - Chairman of Ha Nam Ninh Construction Company Trade Union Vu Ngoc Nam and Chairman of Petrolimex Waterway Transport Corporation Trade Union Nguyen Van Kien presented the Badminton prize - Men's Doubles category born before 1980 (First Prize went to the pair of athletes from B12 Construction Company) Chairman and Director of Thai Binh Construction Company Hoang Minh Dinh; Deputy Director, Chairman of Ha Nam Construction Company Trade Union Pham Van Oanh and Vice President of Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union Vu Thi Lan Anh presented the Badminton prize - Men's Doubles born after 1980 (First Prize went to the athletes of Ha Nam Ninh Construction Company) Chairman of the Construction Trade Union of Region III Nguyen Khac Khai; Deputy Director, Chairman of the Construction Trade Union of Thai Binh Hoang Quyet and Deputy Head of Accounting Department, Finance and Accounting Department of the Group Ngo My Nhung presented the Badminton prize - Women's Doubles (First Prize went to the pair of athletes of Construction Trade Union B12) Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIPCO Petroleum Transport Joint Stock Company Nguyen Huu Thanh; General Director of Petrolimex Petroleum Services Corporation Pham Quang Hung and Deputy Director of Construction Company Zone III Nguyen The Phong presented the Badminton prize - Mixed Doubles (First Prize went to the pair of athletes from Construction Company B12) Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Vietnam National Petroleum Group Dang Tran Hieu; Chairwoman and Director of Construction Company KVIII - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Sports Festival Le Thi Thanh Ha and General Director of Petrolimex Waterway Transport Corporation Pham Viet Khoa presented the prize for Tennis - Men's Doubles born before 1980 (First Prize went to the pair of athletes of Construction Company B12) Chief of Office of the Group Nguyen Anh Hoang; Chairman and Director of Ha Nam Ninh Construction Company Tran Manh Tien and Director of KVI Construction Company Hoang Van Binh presented the award for Tennis - Men's Doubles born after 1980 (First Prize went to the pair of athletes from Construction Company B12) Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrolimex Petrochemical Corporation Do Huu Tao; Chairman and Director of Hung Yen Construction Company Tran Tan Dai and Deputy Director, Chairman of B12 Construction Company Union Nguyen Khac Han presented the Pickleball prize - Men's Doubles (First Prize went to the pair of athletes of KVIII Construction Company) Chairman of B12 Construction Company Trinh Quang Vinh; Head of Petrolimex Retail Business Department Do Huy Thao and Deputy General Director of Petrolimex Insurance Corporation Tran Hoai Nam presented the Pickleball prize - Mixed Doubles (First Prize went to the athlete pair of B12 Construction Company) Petrolimex General Director Dao Nam Hai, Petrolimex Party Committee Standing Deputy Secretary Dang Tran Hieu, Petrolimex Deputy General Director Nguyen Ngoc Tu, Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union Chairman Nguyen Thanh Son and Chairman and Director of Construction Company Region III Le Thi Thanh Ha presented the First Prize in Football to Construction Company B12 team.
