Strive to put Lang Phung Type III Apatite Ore Processing Plant into operation by the end of 2025

The Lang Phung Type III Apatite Ore Processing Plant Project is invested by Tam Dinh Lao Cai Apatite Investment Joint Stock Company, with a capacity of 250,000 tons of ore processed per year. The project was approved for investment by the Provincial People's Committee from the 2018-2019 period, however, due to many reasons, the project encountered difficulties.

Early this year, the investor started to restart and construct the items. These days, the construction unit is focusing on speeding up the construction progress of the crushing house, flotation house, input ore concentration tank, tailings filter house, waste pond and water supply system.

According to the investor representative, the project currently has some difficulties and problems related to site clearance due to overlapping of forestry land and people's production land. The company is coordinating with the government and relevant agencies to strive to resolve the issue before June 30 to complete land lease procedures.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hai, Head of the Project Management Board, said: In parallel with accelerating the construction progress of the factory, the investor has signed a contract to select a contractor to supply equipment, and this unit has manufactured 85% of the volume. According to the plan, the equipment line will be completed and transported to Vietnam in early October, then installed. It is expected that in early December, the factory will conduct a no-load and loaded test run, and before December 31, the factory will be officially put into operation.

With a designed capacity of 250,000 tons of selected ore per year, after coming into operation, the factory will contribute to providing raw materials for domestic fertilizer factories, increasing the value of industrial production in the province.

Directly present at the site to inspect the project implementation, the leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade acknowledged and highly appreciated the positive spirit of project implementation, and affirmed that they will always accompany and promptly remove difficulties for the unit.

Currently, the difficulties of enterprises are mainly related to site clearance and land procedures. Mr. Hoang Chi Hien emphasized that mineral processing projects such as the Lang Phung Type III Apatite Ore Processing Plant are of great significance, not only contributing to ensuring raw materials for other factories in the fertilizer and chemical production chain in and outside the province, but also creating added value for industrial production in the area. We have directed specialized departments to promptly guide, remove difficulties, shorten administrative procedures, and provide maximum support for businesses to soon come into operation.
