According to comrade Vo Van Men, to control cadmium in durian, the Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection of Tien Giang province is coordinating with the functional departments of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to conduct pilot models to overcome cadmium. Accordingly, the Department is implementing 6 models in Cai Be and Cai Lay districts.

Initially, the Department of Agriculture has analyzed fertilizers with phosphorus base, but without Cadmium content or content below the limit to recommend farmers to use instead of fertilizers with high Cadmium content. From there, isolate and prevent Cadmium from being present in the soil.
