
In Lang Chut village, Hoa Mac commune, Nguyen Van Chinh’s family has lived for many years in a three-room house with a palm-leaf roof and bamboo walls, cramped and dilapidated. Thanks to the State’s support of 60 million VND and a preferential loan of 50 million VND from the Social Policy Bank, Chinh boldly started building a new house with a total estimated cost of more than 400 million VND.

Also in Lang Chut village, Nguyen Van Thiep’s family used to live in a dilapidated three-room stilt house. With access to support capital under Resolution 27, his family has built a solid, spacious house that is nearing completion. Thiep shared: Without the State’s support of VND60 million and the VND50 million loan, my family would not have been able to build a house.

In Hoa Mac commune, 15 poor households have been granted loans under Resolution 27 to build houses. Thanks to the 5-year interest-free loan, households have more conditions to buy materials, complete housing projects, and stabilize their lives.

Implementing Resolution 27 of the Provincial People's Council, the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Van Ban district has coordinated with communes, towns, grassroots socio -political organizations and village and hamlet chiefs to review and compile a list of beneficiaries. Through the first review, the whole district has 224 households eligible to borrow capital under this policy. Disbursement will be carried out in May 2025.

The temporary housing elimination program under Resolution 27 not only brings shelter to poor households, but also motivates people to stabilize their lives, confidently develop the economy , and escape poverty.
