Delegates attending the meeting at the Ca Mau province bridge.
According to the report at the meeting, the whole country has 120 projects and component projects under the direction of the Steering Committee of 30 provinces and cities in 03 areas: Roads, aviation and seaports.
To promote the implementation of projects, the Steering Committee held 20 meetings, with 19 projects, road component projects and one airport project completed and put into operation. The country currently has 2,476 km of highways. The completed projects have contributed to creating new development space, reducing logistics costs, making it easier for people to travel, bringing many benefits to the people, businesses and increasing the added value of land.
Currently, the Ministry of Construction and localities are resolutely directing investors and contractors to mobilize maximum resources and organize construction in "3 shifts and 4 teams" to complete the remaining 733km of 22 expressway projects scheduled to be completed in 2025 to ensure the target of 3,000km of expressway.
In addition to the achieved results, the progress of some projects is facing challenges due to the impact of climate change, extreme weather in the last months of the year; strong fluctuations in construction material prices in many localities... causing difficulties for contractors and affecting project progress.
Based on the actual conditions and development requirements of the country, ministries, branches, localities and construction units have proposed many solutions to remove "bottlenecks" in the project implementation process; at the same time, they have shown their determination to implement plans, focus resources to complete the projects on schedule according to the set plan, meeting the expectations of the Party, the State and the people's aspirations.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh speaks at the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh pointed out: Infrastructure development is one of the three strategic breakthroughs identified since the 11th Party Congress. Strategic infrastructure development contributes to promoting public investment disbursement, economic growth, and rapid and sustainable development of the country.
In the spirit of determination, focusing resources, striving to inaugurate major works and projects across the country from Cao Bang to Ca Mau by December 19, 2025. With not much time left, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: This is an extremely important stage to accelerate and make a breakthrough in implementing key projects and works. Therefore, it is recommended that ministries, branches and localities with key projects pass through to organize construction in a proactive spirit, "overcoming the sun and rain, not losing to storms", making efforts to overcome difficulties and obstacles to complete the progress of projects as planned. In particular, leaders of localities with projects regularly pay attention to and support construction units, encourage and motivate workers at construction sites. All for the common development goal of the country, for the benefit of the people, towards welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested units and localities to proactively propose solutions to remove obstacles in the sections and routes that are being invested in unfinished. Tasks must be resolved completely, not left to stagnate or prolong, and promptly reported to competent authorities for support and timely resolution of difficulties.
