BTO-Phan Thiet is one of the first few tourist cities in the country to install street signs with QR codes to serve people and tourists.

In order for people and tourists to easily find information about the routes, streets and public works they are visiting, at the end of 2023, Phan Thiet city ( Binh Thuan ) deployed the installation of street name signs with QR Codes.

convenient information for residents and tourists, but also a highlight of the city in line with the trend of digital transformation application. On the new "version" of Phan Thiet city's street name sign, in addition to the street name, there is also the city logo on the left corner and a QR Code on the right corner for visitors to "access" more information about the route they have just arrived at. Visitors can use a smartphone (or smart handheld device) with QR Code reading software to look up information related to the route as well as the city.

Accordingly, when scanning this QR Code, visitors will not only understand more about the meaning of the event, the biographies of famous people and historical figures named, but also have more information about the scale of the route (length, road width, road level, starting point, ending point...), local traditions, public works, famous landscapes, historical and cultural relics associated with the construction and development process of the homeland in general, and Phan Thiet city in particular.

Installing street name signs with QR Code is one of the contents in the roadmap for implementing the smart urban construction project of Phan Thiet city. In 2023, Phan Thiet has replaced and installed QR Code on street name signs of nearly 70 routes in the city. According to the plan, in 2024, the city will continue to supplement and replace street name signs of the remaining routes and streets in the area to ensure that 100% of street name signs are attached with QR Code. Phan Thiet is one of the first few tourist cities in the country to install street name signs with QR Code to serve people and tourists.
