"We leave it up to Ukraine to decide how to defend itself and how to take back territory," Blinken said in response to a reporter's question about Washington's stance on Russia's accusation that Ukraine carried out a UAV attack on the Kremlin.

The US Secretary of State said that the State Department does not have enough information about the incident.
"It's really hard to comment or speculate on this without knowing what the facts are," Mr. Blinken said.
Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre affirmed that the US "does not encourage or facilitate Ukraine to carry out attacks outside its borders."
Earlier, the Kremlin press office announced that Ukraine had attempted to launch a UAV attack on President Putin's residence. Two UAVs were directed at the Kremlin. The Russian military and security agencies quickly neutralized them. President Putin was not injured and continued working as usual.
The Kremlin described the incident as a planned terrorist attack and an assassination attempt on the Russian president. Moscow also asserted that it reserved the right to take retaliatory measures "anywhere and at any time if necessary".
