The contest is an opportunity to mark the country's strong changes through the language of photography, while also preparing for a special exhibition and documentary photo book to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the first issue of Nhan Dan Newspaper (March 11, 1951 - March 11, 2026).
The contest is open to both professional and amateur photographers nationwide, with works taken from 2022 to present. The three main contents encouraged are: reflecting changes in rural, mountainous and island areas; recording the new urban appearance in the digital age; honoring Vietnamese people in the renovation period with a spirit of creativity, integration and dedication.

Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh said that the photo contest aims to promote the image of the country and Vietnamese people in the new era; the political , economic, social and cultural achievements as well as Vietnam's position in the international integration process in 40 years of renovation.
The contest aims to create a playground for artists, reporters and photography lovers to demonstrate their talents, and is a bridge to bring excellent works to readers, contributing to spreading authentic and vivid images of the country and people of Vietnam, serving the work of national propaganda and promotion.
The contest does not accept photos using artificial intelligence, including illustrations. The organizers will apply technical measures to ensure that the submitted photos are original, reflecting the spirit of respecting journalistic truth.
Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists Ho Sy Minh affirmed that the coordination between the two prestigious organizations helps ensure objectivity and fairness in the judging and selection process, while attracting the participation of a large number of professional and non-professional authors across the country.
The deadline for receiving works is from June 2025 to January 31, 2026. The closing and award ceremony will take place on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the first issue of Nhan Dan Newspaper. The total prize money is 220 million VND, along with additional prizes from the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists. The winning works will be selected for photo books, exhibitions and published in Nhan Dan Newspaper publications.
