Launching the “Dream House” drawing contest in 2025

On the morning of April 2, Vietnam Children's Magazine in collaboration with Thanh Chuong Company Limited - Eras Vietnam Office Supplies and a number of organizations launched the "Dream House" Painting Contest in 2025 with the theme "Happy Green City".

Launching the contest, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Children's Magazine Nguyen Manh Huy, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, emphasized: The contest aims to promote children's participation rights, raise children's awareness of environmental protection, encourage "green" actions and promote sustainable lifestyles. The theme "Happy Green City" is not just a concept, but an image of human life blending with nature, existing in perfect balance. Children will have the opportunity to create their dream green spaces in future cities such as green schools, green public spaces, green living and learning spaces, parks, green streets..., harmoniously developing modern amenities in parallel with environmental protection, protecting the earth and building a sustainable community for future generations.

Speaking at the program, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Children's Rights Luong The Khanh highly appreciated the Organizing Committee of the Contest for creating a meaningful playground for children, mobilizing the strong participation of member associations, schools, organizations, and sponsors to accompany the activities for Children. The representative of the accompanying unit of the contest, Mr. Phan Van Cuong - Director of Thanh Chuong Company Limited - ERAS Vietnam Office said that through the contest, the Organizing Committee hopes that children will focus on expressing their ideas, developing their talents and expressing their experiences. The contest also helps children develop discipline, perseverance, and concentration in problem solving, contributing to their journey to adulthood.

The contest is organized on a voluntary basis and does not charge any entry fee. The Organizing Committee accepts entries from April 1, 2025 to May 25, 2025. The judging structure is divided into 3 groups: Under 8 years old; from 8 to 11 years old; from 11 to 15 years old. Each contestant submits a maximum of 2 A3-sized drawings to Vietnam Children's Magazine, Room 804, 8th floor, Tuan Hanh Building, No. 82, Lane 116, Nhan Hoa Street, Nhan Chinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi (Tel: 0816221166). The award structure includes: 2 collective prizes; 10 First prizes; 15 Second prizes; 20 Third prizes; 30 Fourth prizes; Top 3 works for Children (works purchased to support activities for children at the highest level); Top 3 most favorite works on Vietnam Children's Forum and 200 Promising awards.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in June 2025, in response to the Month of Action for Children 2025, International Children's Day June 1, and World Environment Day June 5. The winning works will be exhibited and auctioned to support children's activities organized by Vietnam Children's Magazine, a unit under the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Children's Rights.

This is the third consecutive year the Contest has been held, with the support of the Vietnam Green Environment Support Fund, Far East Insurance Company, Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( SHB ). The Advisory Council includes: Painter Van Duong Thanh; designer - Miss Ngoc Han; Ms. Le Do Quyen - Executive Director of the Vietnam Green Environment Support Fund.

The two seasons of “Dream House” in 2023 and 2024 attracted more than 50,000 contestants. Notably, many high-prize winning works were auctioned, supporting activities for children, spreading the humane message of love and community responsibility.
