The forum is part of the project "EEAI:Educational Innovation with Artificial Intelligence" proposed and implemented by a team of experts from RMIT Vietnam, with funding from the school's Strategic Innovation Fund, demonstrating its commitment to contributing to the development of Vietnamese education. The EEAI project aims to support teachers, lecturers and educational managers in Vietnam to access and effectively apply advanced AI technologies in teaching, learning and educational management, contributing to promoting the digital transformation process in the education sector in Vietnam.
Participants: Teachers and school administrators at all levels of preschool and general education; Lecturers at universities and vocational education institutions; Education administrators at all levels (Departments/Departments/ Ministry of Education and Training ); Information technology staff in educational institutions.
Main activities include:
The forum will include a series of activities starting with the Forum Launch Ceremony on 9 April 2025 at RMIT University Vietnam’s Hanoi campus, with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Education and Training, RMIT University Vietnam, the Australian Embassy, UNICEF Vietnam, Departments of Education and Training, and universities.
The next activities of the Forum, chaired by the Ministry of Education and Training with the participation of UNICEF Vietnam, RMIT University, and other partner organizations and units, to promote AI application in education and improve AI application capacity of teachers and education managers, taking place in 2025, include:
- Workshop on the current implementation of AI applications in education, current status and solutions: The workshop is scheduled to be held on May 9, 2025 in Hanoi, discussing the current implementation of AI in education and providing implementation solutions.
- Specialized training program on AI application in teaching and learning: The program aims to support Vietnamese teachers and lecturers nationwide to improve their capacity to apply artificial intelligence (AI), especially generative AI, in teaching and learning activities through specialized training sessions from experts.
- Nationwide online training: A series of workshops including online training sessions scheduled to take place in May and June.
- Direct training for managers and key teachers of preschool and general education: Organized in 3 regions: North, Central, South, expected to be held in July.
- Direct and online training exclusively for university managers and key lecturers: Expected to be held in August in Ho Chi Minh City.
The launching ceremony of the "Vietnam Education Innovation Forum with Artificial Intelligence" took place on April 9, 2025 in Hanoi.
National Competition on AI Applications in Education : The national competition with the theme of Artificial Intelligence Applications is organized for all teachers and lecturers in Vietnam, including categories for general education and higher education, with entries focusing on the use of AI in teaching and learning activities in schools.
Vietnam Education Day on AI Innovation : The event includes the Final Round and Ceremony to honor teachers with outstanding products on AI Applications in Education, Exhibition and display of AI and digital technology application initiatives in education, Summary and Closing of the 2025 Forum.
The forum "Innovation in Vietnam Education with Artificial Intelligence" promises to become a professional space for the application of AI and digital technology in education, creating opportunities for exchange, learning, sharing experiences and making practical contributions to the training of teachers and educational managers nationwide according to the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training. The forum also aims to create cooperative connections between schools, educational institutions and management agencies, creating sustainable positive impacts and promoting digital transformation in Vietnamese education.
