On the morning of October 24, at the National News Center ( Hanoi ), Vietnam News Agency held the launching ceremony of the 7th Golden Moment Press Photo Awards, to honor outstanding authors and press works that capture impressive and emotional moments through the lens of photography.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, General Director of Vietnam News Agency Vu Viet Trang said: "Over the past 6 seasons, thousands of high-quality press photos that have the power to spread and move viewers have been submitted to the contest, showing that the life of press photography is extremely vibrant, constantly developing according to the pace of life of the country and increasingly integrating deeply with world photography."

The notable points in this year's contest rules are: Authors must ensure the accuracy and honesty of the information content of the work and are responsible for the copyright of the work. Press photos do not accept editing. The Organizing Committee only accepts photo files via the Contest website www.khoanhkhacvang.vn; The parameters on the file must be intact and not edited.

The contest will be launched on October 24, 2024, and entries will be accepted until November 30, 2024. All entries must be taken between August 15, 2023 and November 30, 2024.

Professional and non-professional photographers who are Vietnamese or foreign citizens can participate in the contest. Members of the Award Council, Organizing Committee and Jury Board do not participate in the Contest.

Mr. Nguyen Thang, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Pictorial, Vice Chairman of the Council, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the 7th Golden Moment Press Photo Awards, announced the contest rules.

The 7th Golden Moment Press Photo Awards have 2 sets of prizes for single photos and photo series. First Prize: 1 prize worth 20 million VND. Second Prize: 2 prizes, each worth 15 million VND. Third Prize: 3 prizes, each worth 10 million VND. Encouragement Prize: 5 prizes, each worth 5 million VND.

In addition, the Jury will select a number of works to display at the Award Ceremony, the authors will receive a photo royalty of VND 500,000/work.

The 7th Golden Moment Press Photo Award is sponsored by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group. The award ceremony is expected to take place in December 2024.
