This award honors outstanding digital technology products that are researched, designed, created, and manufactured in Vietnam to solve Vietnamese problems and expand internationally.
On the morning of August 22nd, in Hanoi , the Ministry of Information and Communications, in coordination with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), held a press conference to announce and launch the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" award for 2024.
"Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Products" is a prestigious, official award in the field of information and communication technology (ICT) presented annually by the Ministry of Information and Communications to Vietnamese organizations and businesses with outstanding digital technology products that are researched, designed, created, and manufactured in Vietnam to solve Vietnamese problems and expand internationally. This is an activity aimed at concretizing Directive No. 01/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister (dated January 14, 2020) on promoting the development of Vietnamese digital technology enterprises.
This year marks the 5th edition of the award, which aims to honor outstanding CNS technology products that embody Vietnamese intellectual pride, create new impetus for economic growth, enhance national competitiveness, increase labor productivity, and deliver more practical and comprehensive results that bring value to people and businesses in digital transformation and the development of the digital economy for various socio-economic sectors and new CNS products. The award also continues to celebrate Vietnamese CNS products that conquer the world, contribute to the development of humanity, and bring prosperity to Vietnam.
Speaking at the award launch ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized that this is an important and concrete activity of the Ministry of Information and Communications aimed at supporting trade and investment promotion, boosting domestic consumption, and promoting exports of new products, services, solutions, and business models.
Over the past five years, the award has attracted numerous entries. Many of the winning products from businesses have been applied in practice, making a significant contribution to the national digital transformation and accelerating the digital transformation process in various sectors and fields more quickly and effectively.
The award has also created ripple effects, further promoting the development of Vietnam's IT and CNS industries, and boosting the "Make in Vietnam" strategy – creating, designing, and manufacturing in Vietnam.
This year, the Ministry of Information and Communications will coordinate with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to select and award gold, silver, bronze, and Top 10 prizes to the most outstanding digital technology products. “The Ministry of Information and Communications is committed to working alongside the award-winning businesses to bring digital technology products to a wider and more distant market. I call on the Vietnamese digital technology business community to respond and actively participate in this award so that the Ministry of Information and Communications can find and honor the most outstanding and deserving Make in Vietnam products of 2024,” Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong launched.

According to Mr. Hoang Quang Phong, Vice Chairman of VCCI, in the four years since its inception, the award has discovered and identified 234 "Make in Vietnam" digital technology products. "This is a significant number, and we can proudly show the world that Vietnamese digital technology products are taking the stage and are ready to compete in the digital economy. The business community and the people can enjoy the scientific achievements of Vietnamese digital technology businesses," Mr. Hoang Quang Phong shared.
The Make in Vietnam 2024 awards will include eight categories. Five of these categories are dedicated to digital transformation products (CNS) serving digital transformation and the development of the digital economy across various sectors (industry and construction; agriculture, resources and environment; transportation, postal services and logistics; education, healthcare, culture, and social affairs; finance, banking, trade, and services). This year's awards retain the two categories from 2023: "Outstanding CNS Product for the Overseas Market" and "Potential CNS Product," and add a new category: "Outstanding New CNS Product."
The application period for the award is from August 22nd to October 22nd, 2024. The award ceremony will be held within the framework of the National Forum on CNS Business Development in Vietnam in December 2024.
