Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, Head of the Central Steering Committee for External Information Work attended and, together with other leaders, performed the ceremony of pressing the button to launch the award.
Also attending were comrades: Pham Tat Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for External Information Work; Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; representatives of leaders of a number of central departments, ministries and branches.
In his speech launching the Award, comrade Pham Tat Thang stated that the National Award for Foreign Information, after 10 seasons, has affirmed its brand as a prestigious award with many unique and distinctive features. The distinction is reflected in the diversity and richness of the award categories; in the participants from domestic to foreign countries, from cadres, party members to people, international friends, from professionals, semi-professionals to amateurs. The Foreign Information Award has no limits for innovation and creativity.
Emphasizing that 2025 is an extremely special year for the country, comrade Pham Tat Thang hopes that the 11th Foreign Information Award will be an information channel to convey the message of national development to international friends; continue to be an achievement in effectively implementing Conclusion No. 57-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing to improve the quality and effectiveness of foreign information work in the new situation, attracting strong public attention and having a wide spread at home and abroad.
According to the Organizing Committee, the 11th Foreign Information Awards considers and awards foreign information works/products in 8 categories: Vietnamese Newspaper/Magazine; Foreign language Newspaper/Magazine; Radio; Television; Books; Photos; Digital-multimedia products; Initiatives and products with foreign information value.
Works/products considered for the Award this year are works/products posted on mass media; published, released, announced, created, applied domestically and internationally, during the period from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
For works/products released before or after the above time, 2/3 of the duration and quantity of works/products must be published within the specified time. The Organizing Committee receives works/products for the contest via the official website: https://giaithuong.ttdn.vn, "Submit entries" section.
For the Book category, authors submit soft copies directly on the contest system. In case there is no soft copy, authors upload the cover photo and fill in all information about the work on the system, then print the label provided by the system and send it with the hard copy to the address: Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department (Information and Foreign Affairs Department), No. 6C Hoang Dieu, Ba Dinh, Hanoi. The deadline for receiving works is August 5, 2025.
