Launching response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism donated 400 books to the Provincial Library to deliver to students in disadvantaged areas.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, a representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism affirmed: Building and developing a reading culture is an important task in the cause of building a comprehensively developed Vietnamese people.

In the current context, with the strong development of information technology, reading habits are changing a lot, requiring the participation of the whole society to spread the love of books, nurture reading culture in the community, especially the young generation.

At the ceremony, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented 400 books worth nearly 20 million VND (sponsored by Nhat MinhEducational Equipment and Books Company Limited and Thoi Dai Educational Equipment and Books Company Limited) to the Provincial Library to deliver to students in disadvantaged areas.

After the ceremony, delegates, students and pupils visited the thematic book exhibition space and participated in a reader exchange activity with the content "Learn about Vietnam Book Day and Reading Culture 2025" organized by the Provincial Library.

This year is the 10th time the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has hosted the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day. This is an opportunity to honor the value of books, affirm the role and importance of books in social life, in developing knowledge, inspiring creativity and spreading reading culture in the community, thereby contributing to cultural development, building a learning society and lifelong learning.
