At the same time, it is also an important event, affirming the determination and responsibility of the entire political system and the whole society in implementing the goal of gender equality, a key factor for sustainable development and improving the quality of life of the people.

Comrade Tran Duc Hien - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs spoke at the launching ceremony.
In recent years, gender equality work in the province has achieved many positive results. The proportion of women participating in the leadership apparatus is increasing: currently the whole province has 1 female National Assembly delegate (16.6%), 17 female Provincial People's Council delegates (38.6%), 703 female Commune People's Council delegates (33.5%); 17 female department and branch leaders and 123 female room leaders. Women are increasingly bold in participating in the economy and starting a business; many models to support women and prevent gender violence have been effectively implemented such as "Trusted address - community shelter", "Friendly investigation room", "Club for women at risk of being forced to marry foreigners"...
However, gender bias, child marriage, domestic violence, and child abuse still occur, especially in remote areas; many women and girls still face barriers in studying, working, and accessing information. With the theme "Gender equality and safety for women and girls in the digital age" in 2025, the province calls on all levels, sectors, and the whole society to continue to join hands in taking practical actions, spreading the message of building a safe, humane, and violence-free community, where women and girls are protected and their roles are promoted in the digital age.
