On this land, 293 years ago (1732-2025), Dinh Long Ho was established. The land reclamation and the long resistance wars against foreign invaders have left many historical, cultural and revolutionary sediments deeply imprinted in the spiritual life of the people.

Vinh Long is a land of three ethnic groups: Kinh, Khmer and Chinese. They stood side by side in the process of reclaiming land, establishing settlements and fighting against foreign invaders, and together wrote a heroic history.

Mr. Tran Thanh Son - Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association said, in a land of "geomantic people", there are many outstanding celebrities, with diverse and rich natural landscapes.

These are not only a source of pride but also a place to develop tourism potential, to learn about famous people or historical events associated with the names of famous people in a land. These materials are the subject and inspiration for the creation of literature and art in general.

Looking back at the past journey from Vinh Long literature and arts (April 30, 1975 - February 1976), Cuu Long literature and arts of Cuu Long province (1976-1991) and Vinh Long province literature and arts (May 1992-2025) have achieved very valuable achievements, contributing to building the spiritual life of the people. Hundreds of literary and artistic works and projects have been affirmed and welcomed by the public.

Ms. Dang Phuoc Lien Chau - Deputy Head of the Song and Dance Troupe, Vinh Long Cultural Center shared that she was very excited and agreed with the direction of the draft document submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party when emphasizing the role of culture as an endogenous resource, a driving force for national development, and promoting the pioneering role of artists.

This is a recognition, respect and also a great source of encouragement for artists to continue to create, devote themselves, and bring works that truly reflect the life, people and identity of Vinh Long homeland in the flow of national culture.

A good sign for the province today is that folk art and performance forms are recognized as intangible cultural heritage and are being preserved, maintained and developed.

In addition, encourage the application of digital technology in composing, performing, preserving and disseminating works, and at the same time build a network connecting artists, managers, businesses and the community, creating an open creative ecosystem, promoting exchanges and promoting Vietnamese culture to the world.

“For culture to truly become a driving force for national development, I hope that the Party and State will continue to have mechanisms and policies to treat and support investment in creative arts activities, especially at the local level.

At the same time, it is necessary to create a rich environment and space for performing and exchanging arts, helping artists have more conditions to spread good values. When the orientations are concretized into practical, long-term and humane policies, the artists will be more proud, confident and enthusiastic in creating" - Ms. Lien Chau shared.

Mr. Tran Thanh Son said that the Literature and Arts Association has successfully organized the anniversary of Vietnam Music Day, Vietnam Stage Day and 2 field trips for composing in Duyen Hai ward and Tra Con commune. The Literature and Arts Association is planning to organize a field trip for composing with the theme "Building New Rural Areas and Cultural Tourism Village" in Cho Lach commune.

This is also an opportunity for members to connect and exchange experiences in the creative process, contributing to creating works of high quality in ideology and art to serve the local political task in building new rural areas, promoting the potential and strengths of Cho Lach tourism industry and promoting literary and artistic works to the public.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, in the coming time, it is necessary to take care of building a team of intellectuals, artists, journalists, and ideological-cultural cadres with steadfast character, enthusiasm, and creativity.

This is a pioneering force on the cultural front, with the mission of creating works of high ideological and artistic value, reflecting reality, arousing aspirations, orienting perception, and contributing to building a new human being.

In the new context, when the need to blend cultural values is more urgent, the role of this team becomes especially important, contributing to connecting the community, affirming common identity, encouraging will, belief and aspiration for development.

Culture and arts are the soul, the sustainable endogenous strength, the great spiritual motivation for Vinh Long to overcome difficulties, take advantage of opportunities, and thrive in the new era.
