Promoting talents, awakening inner strength and intelligence of Vietnamese women

Kinhtedothi-The emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" has been spread and connected by the direction of trade unions at all levels, and has become a source of motivation for women to overcome many difficulties; promote talents, arouse the inner strength, intelligence, and good virtues of Vietnamese women.

Chairman of the Hanoi Labor Confederation (VGCL) Pham Quang Thanh said that the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" is a gender-specific movement launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 1989 to encourage and motivate female union members and workers to actively participate in social work - especially in professional work, while building happy, equal and progressive families.

In 2024, the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" will continue to be deployed and widely implemented by the Capital Trade Union at all levels among female union members and workers with movements such as: "Good worker, creative worker", "Good at school work, good at housework" of the Education Trade Union; "Good at professional expertise, strong in political ideology, beautiful in culture", "Loyalty, responsibility, integrity, creativity", building a cultural agency...

In addition, the implementation and preliminary and final summary activities of the movement "Good at public work, good at housework" are innovated annually with diverse and rich forms; the scale and quality are given more attention, attracting more and more female union members and workers to participate.

Notably, the City Labor Federation organized a commendation ceremony for typical examples in the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" associated with the activities to celebrate International Women's Day March 8, organized a special art program to honor outstanding female cadres and union members of the Capital Trade Union in 2024 with more than 1,000 outstanding delegates attending; presented support to 1,986 female union members and workers in difficult circumstances due to serious illnesses, work accidents, occupational diseases, war invalids, victims of Agent Orange... with a total amount of 1,988 billion VND.

In 2024, the grassroots trade union and the direct superior trade union recognized 371,852 female union members and workers with the title "Good at public work, good at housework"; rewarded 5,581 excellent collectives...

In recent times, female union members and workers in the capital have promoted the spirit of initiative, creativity, confidence, and efforts to overcome many difficulties and challenges, approach and grasp information technology, actively participate in administrative reform, self-study, accumulate and enrich their knowledge to better serve their work and excellently complete assigned professional tasks.

At the same time, female union members and workers in the capital not only do well in their professional work but are also responsible, elegant, modern, and build prosperous, progressive, happy, and civilized families. They have accompanied their children and raised them to be obedient, studious, and successful. 50,925 children of workers and civil servants who achieved high results in the 2023-2024 school year have been commended and rewarded by the City's Trade Unions at all levels; 3,304 children of workers and civil servants who won prizes in the city-level cultural subject exams have been rewarded by the Trade Unions at the grassroots level with a total amount of 1.943 billion VND...

In addition, inheriting and promoting the fine traditions of Vietnamese women, female workers in the capital have actively participated in social, humanitarian, charitable, solidarity and benevolent activities, always consciously helping people around them and wishing everyone to progress and be happy.

It can be affirmed that the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" has been spread and connected by the direction of the Trade Unions at all levels and has become a source of motivation for women to overcome many difficulties; promote talents, arouse inner strength, intelligence, good virtues of Vietnamese women, progress and development of themselves, their families and the community; both excellently completing professional tasks and building "Prosperous, progressive, happy, civilized" families, building cultural agencies and units and building a civilized, modern and cultural capital.
