Kinhtedothi - The era of national development opens up unprecedented opportunities for the Vietnamese people and Vietnamese women to maximize their enthusiasm, intelligence, talent, and aspiration to contribute to the prosperity of the country and to the happiness of their families and individuals.


On the afternoon of December 26, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) and the Communist Magazine jointly organized the Workshop "Promoting the role of women in the new era - the era of national advancement".

The workshop was chaired by: Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen; Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine Le Hai Binh; Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Minh Huong.

Attending the workshop were Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, along with nearly 200 delegates representing leaders of a number of ministries, branches and agencies; experts and scientists attending in person and about 900 delegates from the Women's Unions of provinces and cities attending online at 69 connection points.

Speaking at the workshop, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen said that with the responsibility of a political and social organization - representing the legitimate and legal rights and interests of women, the Vietnam Women's Union clearly identifies its position and mission, together with the entire political system and the entire population, to best prepare for the important step forward of the country in the new era - the era of national development.

The Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union has chosen the theme for 2025 as "Promoting the role of women in building a clean and strong Party and political system, ready to enter a new era - the era of national advancement". This demonstrates the determination of the Union and women's cadres and members nationwide, ready for an important step forward for the country.

President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen emphasized that the major directions and orientations of the Party and General Secretary To Lam on the "new era - the era of national rise" are major issues, new issues both in theory and practice. The workshop will contribute to raising awareness and responsibility for cadres, members and women about the new era - the era of national rise; discuss theoretical and practical issues related to the role of women in the new era; suggest solutions for the Vietnam Women's Union to prepare for women in the new era - the era of national rise.

At the workshop, experts, scientists, and women delegates shared information and knowledge, suggested issues and solutions to further promote the role of Vietnamese women and the Vietnam Women's Union in the coming time, contributing to bringing the country into a new era.

Speaking at the workshop, Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu - Former member of the Party Central Committee, Former Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Former Deputy Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council emphasized that the era of national development is the era of Vietnam's comprehensive and synchronous development in all fields; realizing the wishes of President Ho Chi Minh and the aspiration for a prosperous and happy country as determined by the 13th National Party Congress.

The objective and urgent requirements when entering the new era are to strongly innovate development thinking, have high unity of thought, and be determined to act, which is the step to pave the way for the Vietnamese people to enter the era of rising up;

Resolutely overcome institutional and organizational bottlenecks, unleash innovation and all development potentials; promote the digital transformation revolution, create leverage to help the country take off, accelerate the process of building socialism in our country; be frugal, fight waste, make optimal use of resources; maximize the driving forces, especially the strength of the entire people, the entire army, and the Vietnamese people to develop the country and protect the Fatherland; combine national strength with the strength of the times, promote Vietnam's soft power, raise the level of foreign affairs and diplomacy in the era of national development...

"The era of national development opens up unprecedented opportunities for the Vietnamese people and Vietnamese women to maximize their enthusiasm, intelligence, talent, and aspiration to contribute to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of their families and individuals. In the new era, the role of the Vietnam Women's Union is even more important and has the conditions to develop more strongly and effectively" - Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu affirmed.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Tien, Director of the Vietnam Women's Academy, stated that among the issues of human resources, the issue of female human resources is considered to be more serious and many issues are slow to improve. Therefore, research to clarify the current situation of female human resources, factors affecting the development of female human resources, including factors and requirements of the new era is very necessary to find solutions and effective policy implications for Vietnam in developing female human resources in the coming time.

To develop female human resources in the new era, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Tien said that the Government and the Prime Minister need to issue strategies and strategic plans for national human resource development, clearly defining the goals and requirements for human resource development, including female human resources in each period; promoting the scale and improving the effectiveness of vocational education and training for women;

At the same time, it is necessary to further improve the policy system, laws, business environment as well as other parts of the ecosystem to promote women's entrepreneurship, business development and formal transformation of individual business households; prioritize the implementation of policies to support female labor groups working in the informal sector, disadvantaged women and women in rural areas, ethnic minorities...

Delegates also focused on clarifying many theoretical and practical issues, such as: developing female human resources; promoting women's potential, strengths, spirit of mastery, and aspirations to rise up; women in foreign affairs; the role of women in cultivating Vietnamese family values; transmitting, preserving and promoting cultural values... thereby promoting the role of women in the new era - the era of national rise...
