Promoting the role of women in Party and government building

Women members of Nam Po 4 village, Muong Nhe commune, Muong Nhe district actively participate in the Association's work, make efforts to work and produce, develop the economy, and reduce poverty.

Deeply aware that participating in Party and government building is one of the key tasks, the Provincial Women's Union focuses on promoting the dissemination of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's, the province's and the Union's laws and policies to members and women through many appropriate forms (conferences, contests, training, writing articles on social networks, zalo, facebook, the Union's general information page...). During the year, the electronic information page posted 417 news and articles; 634 images of the Union's activities; 37 communication videos. At the same time, focus on innovating and improving the quality of political and ideological education; promoting the role and responsibility of women in participating in discussions and contributing opinions to draft legal documents, documents of Party congresses at all levels, reports and resolutions of the People's Council, and local socio-economic development plans. In 2022, the Women's Union at all levels will participate in giving opinions and social criticism on over 100 drafts, such as: Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence (amended); Land Law (amended); participating in giving opinions at the social criticism conference organized by the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee on 6 draft laws and regulations. Collecting opinions of members and women to send to competent authorities and People's Council meetings at all levels to promptly resolve difficulties and problems in implementing resolutions, policies and laws, contributing to promoting direct democracy and representative democracy of women through the Women's Union.

Along with that, the Women's Union at all levels in the province has actively participated in contributing and providing social criticism; local socio -economic development programs; action plans for women's advancement. Focusing on consulting and dialogue with government leaders on issues related to women and implementing the Party's policies and the State's policies. Last year, the provincial Women's Union at all levels organized 313 monitoring sessions, of which they chaired 94 sessions; coordinated monitoring 219 sessions (exceeding the assigned target by 10.9%). After monitoring, timely detection and recommendations were made to competent agencies for resolution according to their authority. At the same time, the Women's Union at all levels regularly advises the Party Committees and the Government to pay attention to reviewing, evaluating, and improving the quality of female cadres and introducing female cadres to participate in Party Committees and the Government, to run for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels. Accordingly, many female officials hold important positions in the political system from provincial to grassroots levels.

Implementing the Party's policy on building new rural areas, the Women's Union at all levels has promoted its core role in mobilizing members and women to participate in environmental protection activities, building a civilized lifestyle associated with the implementation of the Campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's", the movement "Each rural household has a clean vegetable garden and raises 10 poultry, 1 livestock or more"... In 2022, the Women's Union at all levels has strengthened the mobilization of women to promote internal strength, save to create capital of over 45 billion VND to participate in building new rural areas and help over 20,000 members and women develop production, business, and sustainably reduce poverty. The whole province has 1,150 projects/works contributing to building new rural areas.

In addition, the Women's Union at all levels has organized many activities to support women in starting a business through activities to guide digital transformation and e-commerce for more than 40 production and business households, cooperatives, and cooperatives led by women; establish new economic development models and promote product development advantages... Typically, the Women's Union of Muong Nhe district established 2 new economic development models ("fruit tree planting" in Nam Ke commune and "Cow farming" in Sen Thuong commune). The Women's Union of Dien Bien Dong district established the model "Members and women planting macadamia trees" in 2 villages in Pu Nhi commune and the model "Members and women planting red peanuts" in 2 villages in Na Son commune...

With practical, meaningful and highly effective activities, the Women's Union at all levels in the province has been affirming its position and role in the political system and social life. In particular, it is a strong arm of the Party Committee and the government at all levels, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development tasks of the locality; actively participating in building a strong Party and political system.
