Mr. Ha Vu Son, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City, said that along with actively implementing promotional activities, trade promotion, and destination development, the city is interested in integrating OCOP products and local specialties into business at tourist destinations. This approach not only helps increase attraction to tourists but also expands the market for OCOP products and local specialties. Therefore, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinates with relevant units to promote activities to connect supply and demand; along with that, it will support and create the most favorable conditions for units to develop.

At the meeting, representatives of production and trading units of OCOP products and local specialties in the city said that the units have enough capacity to produce and supply goods. The units hope that the government, especially the Department of Industry and Trade, in addition to supporting connections, should have special proposals on rental costs, discount policies of business locations, etc.
A representative of Can Tho ECO Resort said that they are ready to support production and business units of OCOP products and local specialties when cooperating in business at the resort. Accordingly, the unit will reserve about 60m2 for the business area of this product group; exempt rental costs for 6 months and consider the best fee for the business unit in the next phase.
The meeting also agreed that the Mekong Delta Specialty Store will act as a focal point for cooperation with Can Tho ECO Resort to display and sell OCOP products and local specialties at this tourist area. The store is expected to open on the occasion of April 30 and May 1.
