Attending the exchange night were Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee; leaders and students of Culture, Sports and Tourism schools in the Southern region.
The Exchange Program for Outstanding Ethnic Minority Students of Culture, Sports and Tourism Schools in the Southern Region is a regular event to encourage the learning and training spirit of ethnic minority students.
Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong and Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep presented souvenir flags and flowers to the units participating in the program.
Speaking at the exchange program, Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized: This is not only a political and cultural event, but also an inspiring space, a place to meet, connect, and spread the spirit of national solidarity, spreading noble human values. This is also a playground for students to share their dreams and aspirations and together affirm the value of Vietnamese national identity in the new era.

This year's exchange with outstanding ethnic minority students from the Southern region's Culture, Sports and Tourism schools has more than 200 ethnic minority students from 12 training institutions of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector in the Southern region. They are: Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture; Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts; Ho Chi Minh City University of Sports and Physical Education; Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema; Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music; Dong Nai College of Decorative Arts; Vung Tau College of Tourism; Da Lat College of Tourism; Can Tho College of Tourism; Ho Chi Minh City Dance College; Can Tho National Sports Training Center; Can Tho City High School for Gifted Sports.
During the 3 days, the program had many activities such as flower offering, incense offering, reporting and commemorating at Hung King Temple in Can Tho City; competitions such as camp gate competition, sports competition, art performance competition; exchange program and campfire. At the same time, students also participated in the program of returning to the source, visiting historical sites, famous landscapes and typical tourist attractions in the city.

In order to encourage and motivate ethnic minority students with excellent academic achievements, at the program, Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund awarded 30 Vu A Dinh Scholarships (16 University scholarships worth 1.5 million VND/scholarship, 14 College scholarships and below worth 1 million VND/scholarship). The Scholarship Program to support ethnic minority students and poor students, received and managed by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, awarded 20 scholarships (each worth 2 million VND).
