
The two leaders expressed their pleasure at meeting again and highly appreciated the effective development of the Vietnam-Brunei Comprehensive Partnership; agreed to closely coordinate to further deepen the bilateral relationship, bringing benefits to the people of both countries, contributing to peace , stability and cooperation in the region and the world.
President Luong Cuong welcomed the Sultan of Brunei to visit Vietnam in 2025, agreed to continue promoting contacts and delegation exchanges at high and all levels; maintain the implementation of bilateral cooperation mechanisms; continue to effectively implement the Action Program to implement the Vietnam - Brunei Comprehensive Partnership for the 2023-2027 period; and strengthen cooperation in all fields, especially the four priority areas of oil and gas, chemicals, Halal food processing, tourism and people-to-people exchange.
Affirming the creation of favorable conditions for Bruneian enterprises to expand their investment and business in Vietnam, the President suggested that the two sides coordinate and soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the Halal field; hoped that Brunei would support Vietnamese enterprises in production processes and certification for agricultural products and Halal products; create conditions for Vietnam's Halal products to be exported to Brunei and participate in the global supply chain of Halal goods and food.

For his part, the Sultan of Brunei expressed his appreciation and desire to further develop substantive cooperation with Vietnam, including in the fields of trade, energy, oil and gas, culture and people-to-people exchange.
Congratulating Vietnam on its re-election as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council for the 2026-2028 term, the King said that Vietnam is playing an increasingly active role in promoting multilateral cooperation in the world. The King said that Brunei will continue to maintain support for capacity building for Vietnamese officials through scholarship programs, including English language training programs.

The two leaders also agreed to strengthen solidarity, unity and maintain the central role of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the region; promote cooperation on regional and international issues of common concern, including the East Sea issue; and promote negotiations on a substantive, effective Code of Conduct in the East Sea (COC) in accordance with international law, especially the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
