The purpose of the decision is to promote the role and responsibility of units of the Industry and Trade sector in implementing solutions to respond to and mitigate the impact of natural disasters on socio -economic development activities and according to the field of operation of the unit in charge.
Enhance proactiveness in preventing, responding to and overcoming consequences caused by natural disasters. Minimize damage caused by natural disasters, especially to life, property, infrastructure and key projects. Timely overcome damage caused by natural disasters, quickly stabilize production and business.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade requires that disaster prevention and response be identified as a regular task and an important content integrated into the annual work plan. Ensure absolute safety for people and property of the State and people.
Prevent and limit the impact of natural disasters on business production and activities of enterprises and people's lives. Implement well the motto "4 on-site" (on-site command; on-site forces; on-site materials, means, and funding; on-site logistics) and "3 readiness" (proactive prevention; timely response; urgent and effective recovery) in natural disaster prevention and control.
Implement the most effective plan during the rainy and stormy season, especially the risks identified through Typhoon Yagi in 2024, strong storms, major floods, flash floods, landslides... that have occurred in the recent past, proactively prevent, combat, and respond to natural disasters promptly and effectively, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic tasks in 2025.
Regarding implementation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade assigns the Chief of Office of the Ministry, Director of the Department of Industrial Safety Techniques and Environment, members of the Steering Committee for Civil Defense, Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Heads of relevant agencies and units to be responsible for implementation.
