Da Dang 3 Hydropower Joint Stock Company has just been approved by Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee for the operation process of Da Dang 3 Hydropower Reservoir, upstream of Dong Nai River in Duc Trong and Lam Ha districts.
This is a level II project of a large dam and reservoir with a normal water level of 719.5 m; water level corresponding to the design flood of 722.9 m; test water level of 725.2 m; total capacity of 7.6 million m3 ; installed capacity of 12 MW.
The operating process must ensure absolute safety for the Da Dang 3 Hydropower Plant, proactively guard against any unforeseen events, any floods with a recurrence period of less than or equal to once every 500 years, and must not allow the water level to exceed the inspection level at the lake elevation of 725.2 m.
