BBK - On the afternoon of May 20, Comrade Phuong Thi Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Bac Kan province, inspected the situation of overcoming the consequences of floods in Yen Duong commune, Ba Be district.

Grasping the situation in Phieng Kham village, the most affected area of ​​Yen Duong commune, the working group visited and encouraged a number of families who suffered losses in life and property.

Next, the working delegation went to work at Yen Duong Commune People's Committee to grasp the situation of overcoming the consequences of floods in the area. At the working session, the working delegation listened to the leaders of Yen Duong Commune People's Committee and leaders of Ba Be District People's Committee report on the situation of damage statistics and recovery in the locality. According to the report at the working session, the localities are currently focusing human and material resources to repair houses, roads, domestic water... to ensure the initial living conditions for affected and damaged households at the best possible level.

Preliminary statistics of Yen Duong commune as of the afternoon of May 24, the whole commune suffered damage to infrastructure such as: houses, property, crops of people and welfare works such as bridges, culverts, medical stations, clean water works... estimated damage of about 80 billion VND. Currently, the provincial Army and Police forces are also coordinating with local forces to actively help people overcome their housing problems, gradually stabilizing their lives.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment requested that affected localities promptly make accurate statistics of the damage to propose to competent authorities to support the right subjects, in accordance with the provisions of the law.

Concluding the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee deeply sympathized with the loss and damage to people and property of Yen Duong commune in particular and Ba Be district in general. He suggested that the locality should continue to focus resources, local forces and support forces to provide accommodation for households that lost their homes. Ensure other material conditions such as blankets, clothes, and necessities for the people. Encourage the people to continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity, helping each other in times of trouble and difficulty to gradually stabilize their lives.

District specialized agencies increase support for commune officials to carry out statistics to ensure transparency and accuracy for damage to people's assets, crops, and livestock. From there, use support sources to ensure fairness and the right subjects. Review and propose to competent authorities of the district and province to immediately repair damaged infrastructure such as clean water works, roads, medical stations, etc. During the implementation process, if there are any problems, they must be promptly reported to competent authorities for coordination and resolution./.
