Disseminate new regulations on road transport activities to vehicle owners and drivers in transport business

(QNO) - On the morning of April 23, in Tien Ky town (Tien Phuoc district), the Inspectorate of the Department of Construction of Quang Nam organized a conference to disseminate laws on road transport activities (phase 2/2025) for units, vehicle owners, and drivers operating in the transport business in Phu Ninh, Hiep Duc, Tien Phuoc, and Bac Tra My.

Mr. Truong Van Son - Chief Inspector of the Department of Construction said that the National Assembly has issued the Road Law and the Road Traffic Safety and Order Law to replace the 2001 Road Traffic Law (amended in 2008). These two laws will take effect from January 1, 2025. To punish related violations, the Government issued Decree No. 168, dated December 26, 2024.

The second conference was held in the southwestern districts of the province to disseminate the two above-mentioned laws, legal documents guiding their implementation, and disseminate new content related to transportation business activities, transportation service activities, etc. Thereby, transportation businesses, vehicle owners, and drivers comply with regulations and avoid violations due to lack of understanding or specific understanding.

At the conference, Mr. Ho Cong Tri - Deputy Head of the Department of Transport and Port Management (Quang Nam Department of Construction) disseminated Decree No. 158 dated December 18, 2024 of the Government regulating road transport activities. Information on the core content in Circular No. 36 dated November 15, 2024 of the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction ) regulating the organization and management of passenger and cargo transport activities by car and the operation of bus stations, parking lots, rest stops, and bus stops; procedures for putting bus stations and rest stops into operation.

Representatives of the functional sector also pointed out a number of specific behaviors that transport businesses, vehicle owners and drivers often commit; sanctions for violations in road transport and road transport support services; and recommended that transport businesses pay attention to complying with regulations on journey monitoring devices, registration and issuance of badges, etc.
