Vice President of T&T Group becomes Vice President of Global Data Experts Network

On October 16, in Hue, the National Data Association in collaboration with the People's Committee of Hue City co-organized the launching ceremony of the Global Data Experts Network initiated by the National Data Association. At the event, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietravel Airlines Do Vinh Quang was honored to be appointed as Vice Chairman of VDEN.

The establishment of the Global Data Experts Network is considered a strategic step, in line with international trends and Vietnam's digital economy development orientation. The announcement not only marks the beginning of a global knowledge network of Vietnamese people in the field of data, but also demonstrates the strategic vision of the National Data Association in connecting people, technology, and knowledge, making Vietnam a dynamic center of the regional and global data economy.

Speaking at the event, Major General Nguyen Ngoc Cuong, Director of the National Data Center and Vice President of the National Data Association, said that the announcement of the Global Data Experts Network is a significant milestone in Vietnam's journey to build a data economy, demonstrating the determination to transform data from potential into a reality of development.

The global network of data experts (VDEN) was formed with the goal of connecting Vietnamese intelligence both domestically and internationally, sharing initiatives, experiences, and knowledge to promote the development of a self-reliant, innovative, and internationally integrated data economy. Notably, VDEN is built on the foundation of close relationships between the "four stakeholders": the State, businesses, academia, and experts, aiming to optimize technological human resources and enhance research capabilities and the application of data in practice.

According to Major General Nguyen Ngoc Cuong, the announcement of VDEN is a significant milestone in Vietnam's journey to build a data economy.

In addition, the network will also play a role in advising and proposing national data policies and standards by providing input to management agencies, suggesting legal frameworks and technical standards, and encouraging the development of new data projects and products. VDEN will train and develop high-quality human resources through workshops, training sessions, and professional guidance for the next generation of data experts.

VDEN operates based on five principles: Voluntariness – cooperation – mutual development; transparency – accountability – integrity; science – quality – continuous innovation; security – respect for privacy – compliance with the law; global connectivity – promoting Vietnamese identity. To date, the network has secured the commitment of over 80 experts from many countries around the world, including South Korea, the United States, Japan, Canada, Australia, and others.

“The National Data Center and the National Data Association are committed to being reliable partners, creating the best conditions for our team of experts to dedicate themselves fully. Together, we will write golden chapters in the history of Vietnam's data economy ,” Major General Nguyen Ngoc Cuong emphasized.

Within the framework of the event, Major Dao Duc Trieu, Secretary General of the National Data Association, announced the Decision to establish the Global Data Experts Network. Notably, Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietravel Airlines, was honored to be appointed as Vice Chairman of the Global Data Experts Network.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Do Vinh Quang affirmed that the Global Data Experts Network is a necessary and timely step, meeting the expectations of the Party and State leaders; and at the same time, in line with the general trend of the world. The new Vice Chairman of VDEN noted that data is currently a crucial "strategic resource" for economies; it is the "input material" for innovation. Those who possess data will have a competitive advantage and the ability to shape the future.

Emphasizing that the power of science, technology, and data is only meaningful when transformed into values ​​that serve humanity, the Vice President of VDEN pledged to accompany and actively contribute to the National Data Association and the Network of Experts in the journey of developing Vietnam's data ecosystem.

“From Hue, the flame of Vietnamese knowledge has been ignited. From VDEN, Vietnamese intelligence has been connected. We are ready to share resources, experience, and technological infrastructure; as well as create conditions for domestic and foreign experts to cooperate and apply knowledge to practice for socio-economic development. When the State creates, the scientific community leads, and businesses cooperate, the power of Vietnamese knowledge will be maximized,” affirmed the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group.
