On the afternoon of November 27, at the National Assembly House, Politburo member, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Head of the Steering Committee of the 4th National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award) Do Van Chien chaired the meeting of the Steering Committee and Organizing Committee of the Dien Hong Award.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien stated that, up to now, the implementation of the fourth Dien Hong Award has three main tasks. These are judging the awards, communication work and organizing the Dien Hong Award Ceremony to ensure solemnity, influence, and increasingly enhance the prestige of the Award.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that the fourth Dien Hong Award Ceremony has important significance, contributing to celebrating the first General Election Day to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026).

Reporting on the implementation of the fourth Dien Hong Award, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, Deputy Head of the Dien Hong Award Organizing Committee Nguyen Van Hien stated that after more than 10 months of launching (from January 5 to November 12, 2025), the Organizing Committee has received 3,508 entries from 125 central and local press agencies and magazines. After classification and review, 659 entries have been selected to submit to the preliminary judging council.

On November 25, the Fourth Dien Hong Award Preliminary Judging Council, consisting of 6 Sub-committees (print, electronic, radio, television, photo and magazine) completed the preliminary judging round and selected 90 works to participate in the final judging round. Currently, the Dien Hong Award Support Team has organized photocopies of the files of the works that have entered the final round and sent them to the members of the Final Judging Council.

Overview of the Conference

Deputy General Director of the Voice of Vietnam , Chairman of the Preliminary Judging Council Pham Manh Hung reported on the judging of the fourth Dien Hong Award and affirmed that the works selected for the final round were of high quality, meeting the requirements of content, message and form of expression.

"The works closely follow the theme of 80 years of formation and development of the Vietnamese National Assembly, comprehensively reflecting the position, role, legislative function, supreme supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country. Many works deeply explore the historical milestones, innovations and achievements of the National Assembly through each period, while clarifying the development of the National Assembly in the process of building a socialist rule-of-law state. The exam papers vividly reflect the practical activities of People's Councils at all levels, especially in organizational innovation, improving the quality of supervision and ensuring the people's mastery," the Deputy General Director of the Voice of Vietnam emphasized.

After listening to the Reports, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien asked the delegates to discuss, emphasize and clarify the differences between the fourth Dien Hong Award Ceremony and the first, second and third Dien Hong Awards and how they differ from other National Press Awards.
