Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Vo Thi Man

On the occasion of the 49th anniversary of Khanh Hoa Province Liberation Day (April 2, 1975 - April 2, 2024) and the 100th anniversary of the construction and development of Nha Trang City (1924 - 2024), 15 years of Nha Trang being recognized as a class I urban area (April 22, 2009 - April 22, 2024), on April 2, a working delegation led by Politburo member, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man visited and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Vo Thi Man (Vinh Hai Ward, Nha Trang City). Accompanying him were: Nguyen Hai Ninh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ha Quoc Tri - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ho Van Mung - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Nha Trang City Party Committee; Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the place of visit, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Politburo member and Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man presented gifts and kindly inquired about her health, expressing deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Vo Thi Man in the cause of national liberation and construction of the homeland and the country. At the same time, Politburo member and Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly wished that she would continue to live happily and healthily, always being a shining example for the younger generation to follow. Mr. Tran Thanh Man requested that all levels, sectors, political organizations and localities pay attention to and take good care of the lives of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, wounded soldiers, families of martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution; review and support the construction and repair of houses to ensure a stable life for people with meritorious services to the revolution...

It is known that Vietnamese Heroic Mother Vo Thi Man (born in 1921 in Duc Chanh Commune, Mo Duc District, Quang Ngai Province; currently residing in Group 13 Tay Nam, Vinh Hai Ward, Nha Trang City). Her husband is martyr Pham Cay and her two children are martyrs Pham Thi Hong Hue and Pham Hung Thieng, both of whom died in the resistance war against the US. She was awarded the title "Vietnamese Heroic Mother" by the President on November 7, 2002. During the period of 1964 - 1975, mother Vo Thi Man was a loyal and resilient example of staying in the liberated zone, participating in production, contributing to the revolution; seeing her husband and children off to join the revolution, helping to feed the army, taking care of wounded soldiers, hiding soldiers, participating in the street struggle against the enemy; she also encouraged local women to contribute money and goods to support the resistance war... In August 1996, she moved to Nha Trang City to live with her son. In addition to receiving benefits according to State regulations, my mother also received support from local authorities for housing and other benefits; she has 2 units to support her until the end of her life with an amount of 1 million VND/month.
