Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha sent "warm hugs and affectionate feelings" to more than 15 million children nationwide. "I wish you a happy Children's Day with your family and friends and a safe, meaningful, joyful, healthy and rewarding summer vacation," said the Deputy Prime Minister.

According to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, after 30 times of organization, the Month of Action for Children held in June every year is always an opportunity for all levels, sectors, families and society to have meaningful and practical movements and actions, creating a safe environment and opportunities for comprehensive development for children.

On the occasion of the launching ceremony of the Month of Action for Children, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha suggested that, firstly, ministries, branches, Party committees and local authorities must thoroughly grasp and raise awareness and responsibility for the development of children in association with the development of a prosperous and happy country.
Second, improve the effectiveness of state management, create synchronization in the implementation of policies and laws on children. Improve the organizational structure towards streamlining and efficiency; promote decentralization and delegation of power. Enhance the capacity and responsibility of staff working on children, social workers, and collaborators in the community. Research and develop a comprehensive national strategy on child development.

Fourth, build a safe, healthy, and friendly family, school, and social environment for children to develop comprehensively in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, and aesthetics. Fifth, proactively deploy solutions to protect children from bad, toxic information that is not age-appropriate on cyberspace and society; do not let children do work that affects their studies, health, physical, intellectual and mental development; develop a child-friendly and child-protective judicial system. Develop healthy, appropriate and quality cultural, literary-artistic and educational products for children.
Sixth, ensure children's rights, create conditions for children to participate in related issues in the family, school, and children's organizations.
