Border Guard Company 213 is stationed in Sop San village, Xiengkhor district, Houaphanh province (Laos). The unit manages a border section of more than 60km in length adjacent to Yen Chau and Mai Son districts of Son La province, Vietnam. Border Guard Company 213 has established a sister relationship with the Phieng Pan, Chieng On, and Chieng Tuong Border Guard Stations of the Son La Provincial Border Guard.
After listening to the report, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien highly appreciated the achievements that Border Guard Company 213 has achieved in the past time, despite the difficult working conditions in terms of geography, infrastructure and the nature of the border guard force's tasks at the border. The Deputy Minister of National Defense emphasized: Currently, hostile forces are intensifying sabotage against the relationship between the two countries and the two peoples of Laos and Vietnam; types of transnational crimes and non-traditional security challenges are increasingly sophisticated, complex and unpredictable.
From there, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien requested the forces managing and protecting the border of the two countries, including Border Guard Company 213 and other border guard units of Vietnam, to increase vigilance, organize patrols, and strictly control the border; promptly share information about the situation on each side; coordinate to promote education and propaganda work to mobilize people on both sides of the border to strictly comply with the laws of each side, comply with the agreements and regulations on border management and border gates on the Vietnam - Laos mainland; coordinate to effectively combat the activities of all types of cross-border crimes; continue to coordinate well in conducting bilateral patrols to protect the border, border markers... to ensure security, politics , and social order and safety in the border area.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense , Deputy Minister Hoang Xuan Chien presented many practical gifts to officers and soldiers of Border Guard Company 213, contributing to helping the unit overcome difficulties and shortages in daily life, improving their lives, such as: Mattresses, printers, desktop computers, televisions, speakers, etc.
