According to Mr. Le Minh Duc, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Thuan An City, in 2024, this movement has always received attention and direction from Party committees and authorities at all levels from the city to communes and wards. The effective coordination between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and departments and organizations has created a solid foundation for propaganda work and mobilizing people to actively participate. "The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" does not only stop at economic development but also focuses on crime prevention and social evils", said Mr. Le Minh Duc.

One of the highlights of this movement is the emergence of typical models. Models such as “Flower route of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee”; “Bringing green trees home”; “Propaganda fan for urban civilization” or “Turning landfill into flower garden”… have helped raise public awareness, contributing to creating a clean, civilized living environment.

In particular, pilot models such as: "Garbage-free neighborhoods and hamlets"; "Urban civilized routes" and "Commercial civilized markets" have received support from the people. Up to now, Thuan An City has built 31 garbage-free neighborhoods and hamlets, of which 8 neighborhoods and hamlets have achieved this title for 3 consecutive years; there is 1 commercial civilized market (Binh Chuan market) and 19 clean, green, airy and safe canals.

In An Phu Ward, the movement has been materialized into plans aiming to build the ward to meet civilized urban standards. Mr. Vo Huynh Long, Vice Chairman of An Phu Ward People's Committee, said that the construction of parks, flower gardens and civilized roads has helped improve the cultural life of local people. In particular, the ward focuses on propaganda and dissemination of laws to raise people's awareness in implementing regulations on civilized lifestyle.

Similarly, Hung Dinh Ward has also successfully implemented the model of "Building a cultural lifestyle in weddings and funerals", contributing to reducing waste and affecting security and order. Mr. Ho Anh Thi, Vice Chairman of Hung Dinh Ward People's Committee, said that this model has been implemented by the Ward Movement Steering Committee in recent years and selected Hung Phuoc Ward as a pilot. In August 2024, Hung Dinh Ward People's Committee issued a decision to recognize the convention of 3 neighborhoods according to Decree No. 61/2023/ND-CP dated August 16, 2023 of the Government on building and implementing village conventions and conventions of residential communities.

Strengthen propaganda

According to the assessment, besides the achieved results, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in Thuan An City still has some problems that need to be solved. Specifically, because Thuan An City is a place where people from many different regions gather, with rich living habits, the propaganda and mobilization work to implement a civilized lifestyle, especially in weddings, funerals or festivals, still faces some obstacles. In addition, the removal of illegal advertising and environmental protection need to be further promoted...

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, Vice Chairwoman of Thuan An City People's Committee, in the coming time, in order for the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" to be more effective, the locality needs to continue to widely implement the movement, in conjunction with the goals and tasks of Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW of the 9th Conference of the Central Executive Committee of the Party (term XI). At the same time, it is necessary to pay special attention to propaganda work in industrial parks, clusters, and social housing areas to improve the cultural life of workers.

The city also continues to promote the work of building a civilized and cultural urban lifestyle; directing neighborhoods and hamlets to organize activities such as "National Great Unity Day" to build a united, strong and sustainably developing community. "Looking back on the past, we have the right to be proud of the results achieved. Although they are only small actions, they have contributed significantly to changing the face of the city every day. It can be said that the movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” in Thuan An City in recent times has created an important mark, contributing significantly to the development of the city. With the attention and drastic direction of authorities at all levels, along with the active participation of the people, the movement promises to continue to develop strongly, laying the foundation for a civilized, modern and culturally rich Thuan An City.

In 2024, Thuan An City has 42,853 families achieving the cultural title, accounting for 97.98% of the total number of households. There are 56 neighborhoods and hamlets achieving the cultural title; 105 agencies, units and schools achieving the cultural title. In particular, 4 wards achieving the title of "Ward meeting civilized urban standards" for the period 2022-2024, including: Binh Nham, Lai Thieu, An Thanh and Binh Chuan.
