Binh Duong Monument: Conveying a profound message

April, when the whole country is filled with flags and flowers to celebrate the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), is also the time when thousands of people return to visit the "red addresses" where there are monuments. Different in form or material, each monument in Binh Duong is a manifesto in vivid, profound shapes imbued with the spirit of the times.

The monument is an ideal destination for meaningful trips back to the source.

If the Bau Bang Victory Monument and Phuoc Thanh Victory Monument are the crystallization of the spirit of the army and people of Thu Dau Mot in the battle of "sticking to the enemy's belt and fighting", the Dau Tieng Victory Monument is imbued with the people's life with the image of soldiers, farmers and youth walking together towards the future, clearly expressing the desire to live and build in peace ...

Each composition, each character in the monuments is built on a separate philosophy, not simply a sculpture, but a memory crystallized in stone, in steel, in every skillful line of art and gratitude. Not only having aesthetic value, these monuments are living evidence of a fiery time, a cultural and historical touchpoint that strongly inspires today's and future generations.

The monument is also a place for Youth Union activities, fostering ideals for local youth.

Ms. Huynh Hong Hanh, history teacher at Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, shared, “Each monument is a vivid historical mark, a symbol of pride not only for the locality but also for the entire Vietnamese nation. The War Zone D Monument, for example, is the embodiment of the indomitable will, the strength of solidarity and the unshakable faith of the people in the resistance war. Or the Bau Bang Victory Monument - which marks the heroic feats of arms of the army and people of Thu Dau Mot - is not only the pride of Bau Bang people, but also the sacred memory of the entire Binh Duong province. I believe that, through these specific and vivid images, the younger generation will be inspired by the spirit of indomitable struggle, so that they will love, respect and continue the heroic tradition of their ancestors.”

Ms. Tran Hanh Minh Phuong, member of the Vietnam Folk Arts Association and the provincial Literature and Arts Association, said that the monument in Binh Duong is not simply a public art product, but also a priceless cultural and historical asset. They reflect the process of developing national identity; at the same time, they acknowledge the role of the masses in the struggle for national liberation. Every detail, every image carries a profound message that needs to be conveyed to the younger generation.
