Welcoming the two ladies to visit and interact with teachers and students of the school, Principal of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai said that the school is implementing a unique model of inclusiveeducation in the capital city of Hanoi.

The visit of the two Ladies has a very special meaning as tomorrow (April 18) is Vietnam Disability Day, bringing emotion to the teachers and students of the school.

Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School was established in 1982 with the special mission of educating, caring for and accompanying visually impaired children, so that they can confidently live independently and integrate into society. The school is currently home to nearly 1,800 students, including 131 disabled students (most of whom come from difficult family circumstances).

The school's staff, teachers and employees not only teach culture but also persistently and creatively build a suitable, modern and sustainable inclusive education model.

With a closed, specialized inclusive education model, built with continuous steps to organize inclusive teaching, Braille, mobility orientation, social skills, and careers for students... the school organizes teaching from grade 1 to grade 9 for children with disabilities to fully integrate, along with the general education program of the Ministry of Education and Training for sighted students, as well as teaching specialized educational support for students.

Expressing their joy and happiness to welcome the visit of the two Ladies, students of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School presented performances, leaving a deep impression and emotion on the two Ladies about the determination of disabled students to overcome.
