Phu Tho: Three people suffered severe burns after an explosion of unknown cause

The victims, all workers renting accommodation in a residential area in Phu Ho commune, were hospitalized with severe burns after a loud explosion of unknown cause.

In Phu Ho commune, Phu Tho town (Phu Tho province), at around 9:30 p.m. on April 23, an explosion occurred, causing three people to suffer severe burns and had to be hospitalized that same night.

Mr. Tran Minh Loi, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Ho commune, Phu Tho town confirmed that a small explosion of unknown cause injured 3 people.

After the incident, authorities quickly arrived at the scene, made a record, examined the scene, collected evidence and investigated the cause of the incident.

Mr. Loi added that the victims were all workers working at Phu Ha Industrial Park, Phu Tho town, renting accommodation in a residential area in Phu Ho commune.

The injured victims were taken to Phu Tho Town Medical Center by local people for emergency treatment, then transferred to the Provincial General Hospital.

In addition, fire prevention and fighting forces were present at the scene to handle the incident.

According to the reporter's investigation, the 3 victims suffered severe burns in multiple locations, about 50% of their bodies.

Authorities continue to verify and clarify for handling according to the provisions of law./.
