When she turned 40, Ms. Thuy Duong started planning to have a second child. That was also the time when she devoted a lot of effort to learning deeply about earlyeducation methods. She not only read a series of books by Jews and Japanese people, but also thoroughly researched world-famous early education methods such as the Ageless Plan by Professor Phung Duc Toan (China), Glenn Doman (USA), Shichida (Japan), Montessori (Italy)...
From those pages, she understood clearly: The period from 0 to 6 years old is the golden period of the brain, when billions of neurons can be activated and strongly connected if nurtured and educated properly. Believing in the value of early education, she applied what she learned to raising her own son.
And the miracle happened. At just 9 months old, her son started babbling his first words. When he was only 2 years old, he could speak sentences up to 16 words long, and was able to memorize and retell the entire story of “Little Red Riding Hood”. He also read books fluently, not only recognizing words but also understanding their meaning. When he read the sentence “cabbage helps relieve headaches”, he ran to his mother and said: “Mom, eat cabbage to relieve headaches!”. Then when he read the part “eating amaranth helps broken bones heal quickly”, he also called his mother and said: “Mom, amaranth helps broken bones heal quickly, Mom”... Those innocent sentences, the outstanding expressions of the child’s thinking, language, and movement are living proof of the effectiveness of early education methods.
Watching her child grow up day by day, Ms. Duong not only feels the happiness of being a mother, but also nurtures in her heart a greater desire: How can more children in her hometown also have the opportunity to access early education - to develop their intelligence, personality and emotions from the very beginning of life?
She shared that wish with her colleagues and understanding companions. With the same belief and love for children, they joined hands to realize their dream: to establish a kindergarten that integrates modern early education methods, where children are nurtured with love, respect and a humane educational philosophy.
At that time, the concept of “early education” was still quite unfamiliar to many local parents. But with strong belief and determination, Ms. Duong and her colleagues gradually built, standardized, designed a friendly learning space, prepared a suitable curriculum, and trained a team of teachers with a modern approach.
And then, in August 2015, the Ha Long IQ Kindergarten group was officially established - becoming the first early education school in Ha Long city. From the first classes that were still modest in scale, up to now, after nearly 10 years, the group has developed into the Ha Long IQ Kindergarten System, becoming the common home of thousands of students in this beautiful coastal city. The children who have studied here not only develop outstandingly in thinking, language, and motor skills, but also grow up with confidence, a love of learning, and a beautiful personality.
That journey is not only the story of a school, but also the story of a heart, of a woman who constantly learns, constantly believes in good values, and then brings the light of knowledge to the future generation. Ms. Duong shared emotionally: "We are proud to have contributed to sowing the seeds of happiness and early knowledge for many generations of young children in Ha Long city...".
Ten years - not a long journey, but for Ms. Duong and her companions, it is a journey of many aspirations, many efforts and many sweet memories. IQ Ha Long Kindergarten is not only a milestone paving the way for early education in the locality, but also a symbol of pioneering, creativity and dedication to the young generation.
In the strong development flow of Quang Ninh education today, the first seeds like IQ Ha Long are the precious foundation - so that the journey of "nurturing the future" becomes deeper, more sustainable and more loving.
