Phu Yen Online - Innovation in library activities and services for children

On May 26, the Provincial Library organized a training course on information exploitation skills and organizing library activities and services for young readers. 30 trainees are library staff of districts and towns; staff in charge of communal libraries, community bookcases and private libraries in the province participated in this training course.

Accordingly, the trainees were disseminated, propagated and guided to implement documents related to the organization of library activities and services, and services for young readers; the Provincial People's Committee's Plan on implementing Directive 20, dated November 1, 2022 of the Prime Minister on promoting innovation in library activities in building and developing reading skills, accessing and processing information for children in the province. In addition, the trainees were also given an overview of the VietBiblio library management software (for district and town libraries); discussed and exchanged solutions to improve the effectiveness of organizing activities and services for children; book activities, interacting with books for young readers in the public library system...

This is an activity to promote information,education and communication to raise public awareness of the role of libraries and develop reading culture; build and develop reading habits, needs, skills and movements among children. At the same time, foster professional knowledge in serving readers, especially children; foster professional knowledge for librarians in the entire public library system, meeting the increasing demand for information and increasingly diverse readers.
