
The program is part of a series of activities "Repaying gratitude" to commemorate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).
The families selected to organize the “Gratitude Meal” include: Vietnamese Heroic Mother Huynh Thi Nhien, Quang Hau Dong block; Vietnamese Heroic Mother Pham Thi Bo, Ha My Dong B block; Vietnamese Heroic Mother Kieu Thi The, block 7A; People's Armed Forces Hero Dang Thi En, Ngan Giang block and the house of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Minh, wife of a martyr, Cam Sa block.
Before that, from early morning, the officers of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee coordinated with representatives of the Women's Union and the Youth Union of the block to go to the families' houses, assigning them to go to the market and cook; representatives of the Farmers' Association and the Veterans' Association of the block came to clean the altar and light candles to commemorate the heroic martyrs.
In Dien Ban Dong ward, there are currently 18 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and 1 hero of the people's armed forces still alive.
To celebrate this year's War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Ban Dong Ward organized delegations of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of the ward... to visit, offer incense and give each family a gift worth 200,000 VND and 500,000 VND in cash.

Towards the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, from July 20 to 27, associations and organizations under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Ban Dong Ward carried out many meaningful activities: cleaning up the landscape at martyrs' cemeteries and memorial steles; offering incense and lighting candles in gratitude at 3 cemeteries and 2 memorial steles in the ward; The Front Working Committee of the residential blocks organized rice offerings at revolutionary relic sites.
