Dong Ngac Ward supports residents of flooded Ecohome and Resco urban areas

Through a survey on the morning of August 27, the above areas were flooded about 60-80cm. Many buildings had flooded basements and electricity and water were cut off, which significantly affected daily life.

To overcome the consequences as well as urgently help people, Dong Ngac Ward People's Committee deployed flood prevention and relief plans to ensure the daily life of people in the two above-mentioned areas.

Accordingly, Dong Ngac ward has established 2 working groups to go directly to deeply flooded areas to survey, collect statistics and grasp the situation in order to support people promptly.

At Ecohome urban area, Party Secretary, Chairman of Dong Ngac Ward People's Council Ngo Van Nam and Chairman of Ward People's Committee Nguyen Van Hach directly directed forces to support necessities to people; help people move around the area to ensure safety.

The ward also coordinated with Cau Giay Clean Water Enterprise to provide clean water to residents in the buildings and provided 300 free meals for people at noon on August 27.

At Resco urban area, Dong Ngac ward leaders directed functional forces to support, provide clean water, necessities, free meals and disinfect and sterilize the environment when the water recedes.

Chairman of Dong Ngac Ward People's Committee Nguyen Van Hach said that the Ward People's Committee has directed the Ward Police to dispatch forces to ensure security and order, and promptly support people when necessary. Military forces and grassroots security forces support people with iron boats to move people and belongings out, and transport food and provisions into buildings to help people. The Health Station is responsible for arranging human resources and medicine to disinfect all buildings to ensure disease prevention and control.
