HAGL official insults referee, VFF Disciplinary Board will handle strictly

HAGL's goal was denied

At the end of the match between HAGL Club and Ha Tinh Club in round 19 of LPBank V-League this afternoon, HAGL Club unfortunately lost 0-1 to the away team. After the match, Head of Delegation Nguyen Tan Anh and Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh of HAGL Club entered the referee room and used actions and words to insult and offend the referee team on duty. A member of the tournament organizing committee said that they had received a report on the incident and that the tournament organizing committee would certainly summarize and report the incident to the VFF Disciplinary Committee.

The situation happened in the middle of the first half between HAGL and Ha Tinh at Pleiku Stadium, midfielder Tran Minh Vuong of HAGL dribbled past goalkeeper Thanh Tung of Ha Tinh, then Minh Vuong kicked the ball into an empty net.

The referee did not recognize the goal of HAGL Club in the 21st minute. This was a situation with the support of VAR technology. With the judgment that there was a foul situation before the HAGL Club player scored, the referee decided not to recognize the goal of HAGL Club.

Inappropriate reaction

The match ended with a 1-0 victory for Ha Tinh. Immediately after the match ended, according to the referee team's report, HAGL Club Head Nguyen Tan Anh and Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh stormed into the referee room and acted inappropriately.

The incident was reported by the Organizing Committee to the VFF Disciplinary Board. From there, the VFF Disciplinary Board will soon make decisions, based on the reports, videotapes and explanations of the relevant parties.

Regarding the moment the referee denied Tran Minh Vuong's goal, the slow-motion replay on television showed that Dung Quang Nho did indeed impact the foot of Huynh Tan Tai from Ha Tinh from behind. Referee Tran Ngoc Anh also observed from many angles on the VAR screen before making the decision.

Player Quang Nho kicked the left foot (support foot) of the Ha Tinh defender, causing this player to be unable to play the ball. That was Quang Nho's fault.
