Sleeper bus burned down on Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway

A sleeper bus was traveling on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway (Binh Thuan province) when it suddenly caught fire.

At around 1:00 a.m. on May 10, at Km188 + 100 on Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway, through Bac Binh district ( Binh Thuan province), a sleeper bus caught fire, causing panic among many people.

At that time, the passenger bus was traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Khanh Hoa when it suddenly caught fire from the rear of the vehicle.

Discovering the incident, the bus driver immediately pulled the bus to the side of the highway and shouted for the passengers to quickly get out of the bus.

The fire then engulfed the body of the car, causing the entire vehicle to burn down.

Upon receiving the news, the patrol unit and Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6, Department 6, Traffic Police Department were present at the scene to regulate traffic and handle the incident.

To ensure safety, authorities have closed the section of the highway where the fire occurred. At the same time, at the Ma Lam intersection (Ham Thuan Bac district, Binh Thuan province), vehicles were directed to move to National Highway 28, then to National Highway 1A to continue traffic.

At present, the scene has been cleared and vehicles can move normally on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway.

Recently, there have been many vehicle fires on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway, including sleeper buses. Specifically, in February 2024, a sleeper bus from Phu Yen province caught fire while traveling on this highway. In September 2024, a truck fire also occurred on this highway.
