Hoan Kiem District continues to be a safe destination to attract tourists.

Kinhtedothi-On the afternoon of October 29, the Supervisory Delegation of the Hanoi People's Council, led by Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha, worked with Hoan Kiem District on the situation and results of implementing the socio -economic development targets for the 5 years 2021-2025 according to Resolution No. 20/NQ-HDND of the People's Council.

At the working session, the monitoring delegation acknowledged the leadership and direction of the implementation of the Resolution of the City People's Council of the district. Hoan Kiem District has issued Resolutions, plans, projects, and documents directing Party committees and authorities at all levels from district to ward to implement socio-economic development goals and tasks.

The District strictly implements the direction of the City Party Committee, the programs of the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee to supplement and update targets, adjust plans and work tasks to achieve good results in implementation.

In the period of 2021-2025, the District People's Committee plans to complete and exceed the annual socio-economic targets assigned by the City and is expected to complete the entire term compared to the plan resolved by the District People's Council. In particular, some important targets are expected to be exceeded, such as the annual State budget revenue in the area increasing by 5-10% compared to the plan assigned by the City.

The district's economy has gradually recovered and maintained good growth. Urban construction and management have achieved quite comprehensive results, meeting requirements, many targets have been achieved and exceeded. The work of caring for policy families, people with meritorious services, and social security has always been of concern; ensuring the lives of people in the district...

Along with acknowledging the achieved results, the monitoring delegation also pointed out some shortcomings and limitations in handling violations of urban order and environmental sanitation that have not been completely resolved; the planning of the school network has not met the regulations. The increase in the rate of kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools meeting national standards has not been evaluated; vocational training still faces many difficulties due to the limited number of training occupations and the lack of facilities to meet the needs...

At the same time, the monitoring delegation requested Hoan Kiem district to clarify the digitization of tourist destinations; the status of recognition and re-recognition of national standard schools according to the plan; the planning of the development of the Red River axis space and underground space in the context of the district's limited land fund; the night-time economy connecting agencies, people, and businesses; urban beautification, development of cultural and tourism centers, etc.

Concluding the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha highly appreciated the results achieved by Hoan Kiem district in implementing socio-economic development targets, in which the local budget revenue increased by 5-10% annually compared to the plan assigned by the City.

Along with that, the district's administrative reform work has been recognized and highly appreciated by the city through the administrative reform index increasing every year. Inspection, examination and supervision work has been paid attention to by the Party Committee and the district and ward authorities, organized regularly and in depth. The district focuses on handling post-inspection issues, strengthening surprise and thematic inspections...

Although the targets were high, the Head of the monitoring delegation also reminded the district to review the quality of targets related to people's livelihood and quality of life such as: clean water, environmental sanitation, solid waste and medical waste treatment; speed up the progress of building national standard schools and invest in the three areas of health, education and culture.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Council also requested Hoan Kiem District to continue paying attention to the rate of vocational training and job creation; ensuring political security, social order and safety; creating a clean, green landscape, a safe destination to attract tourists.
