At the meeting, the Deputy Commander of Military Region 7 congratulated the achievements that Binh Thuan has achieved in socio-economic development, national defense and security. The Major General thanked the attention and close coordination between the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the Military Region Command in leading and directing to successfully complete the military and defense tasks in 2023. At the same time, he expressed his belief that with the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, Binh Thuan will successfully complete the tasks, goals and targets in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in 2024. On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, Major General Vo Van Thi wished the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and departments, branches and organizations of the province a healthy and happy new year.

The Provincial Party Secretary informed the delegation of the Military Region 7 Command about the results achieved by the province in 2023. Notably, the province's gross domestic product (GRDP) increased by 8.1% (the plan increased by 7 - 7.2%); export turnover reached over 900 million USD; state budget revenue was over 10,400 billion VND. Tourism activities have been bustling, especially since the North - South expressway section Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay was put into use. Binh Thuan successfully organized the National Tourism Year 2023. Last year, Binh Thuan welcomed 8.35 million visitors (an increase of 45.98% compared to 2022), tourism revenue in 2023 reached 22,300 billion VND (an increase of 63%). National defense and security work has been strengthened; military conscription has ensured quality, achieving the set targets; Political security and social order and safety continue to be maintained.
