Asian freestyle juggling champion Do Kim Phuc attends the 2023 Golden Ball awards ceremony

Asian freestyle juggling champion Do Kim Phuc is among the few Vietnamese invited to attend the 2023 Golden Ball award ceremony, taking place in France on October 31.

This year, the most prestigious Ballon d'Or award belongs to Lionel Messi. This is the eighth Ballon d'Or in this player's career, having previously received the award in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2019 and 2021.

Do Kim Phuc shared her very real feelings when witnessing the moment Messi's name was announced: "The moment everyone in the audience stood up to applaud Messi really gave me goosebumps. It seemed like everyone had the greatest gratitude for the legend of world football because this could be the last time he received this award. When Messi received the award, I saw Haaland was a bit sad and then his teammates came to encourage him. Mbappe left quickly."

Commenting on the results of the award ceremony, Do Kim Phuc said: "To me, this title is worthy after what Messi has done at the 2022 World Cup. The emotions he brings to global football fans are truly something that no words can fully describe."

This trip to Paris is also the fourth trip that Do Kim Phuc has made to France this year and he hopes that in the future he will have more opportunities to travel and meet more world-famous football players - people he always dreamed of meeting when he was a child.
