Quang Anh burst into tears on stage because the performance was changed at the last minute.

(Dan Tri) - As the contestant leading the vote, the actor from the movie "Come Home, My Child" suddenly burst into tears in frustration during live show 3 of "Talent Rendezvous" when his performance was changed at the last minute.

In live show 3 of Talent Rendezvous taking place on the evening of June 22, Quang Anh performed the song "Dang em lua la" (Luong Bang Quang).

Despite being the contestant with the highest votes with over 158,000 votes during the week, Quang Anh could not keep his usual smile. On stage, he showed obvious anxiety and tension.

In his comments, musician Huy Tuan gently "blamed" singers Ho Ngoc Ha and Truc Nhan for previously continuously advising Quang Anh to change his performance style, causing the male contestant to somewhat lose direction.

After the performance, judge Huy Tuan frankly said: "Quang Anh still has to be the Quang Anh we know, with tricks, with staging, with things that suit you, not renewing with something immature."

Judge Ho Ngoc Ha wondered: "Where is Quang Anh's bright smile today?".

In response to this question, the young singer choked up and shared: “Today could be my last chance on the show. I have prepared carefully for the performance, but at the last minute, the Organizing Committee asked me to sing alone. I accepted that request to prove to the audience… I don’t know if my performance will satisfy the audience and the judges or not.”

Musician Huy Tuan highly appreciated Quang Anh's courage in choosing to try something new. However, he also admitted that he liked the performances in the previous rounds better: "Quang Anh in the previous rounds knew himself and his opponent, and his choices and handling of issues on stage were very attractive."

Faced with those sincere comments, Quang Anh could not hold back his emotions and... burst into tears right on stage.

Judge Truc Nhan also frankly gave his opinion, expressing his hope that his “junior” would maintain his inherent optimism. He regretted seeing Quang Anh lose the smile that had been a special feature in the previous rounds. “If I had decided that this was the last night, I would have gone all the way to the point,” said Truc Nhan.

Singer Ho Ngoc Ha agrees with this point of view and encourages: “The last chance does not mean the last path that we have to choose. The important thing is that we choose to solve the problem in a positive state.

Because of that smile, you were voted top 1. Don't depend too much on the surrounding factors. You need to show everyone that, no matter what happens, I will still solve everything in the most positive and best way to send to the audience."

Sharing the reason why he couldn't control his emotions and burst into tears on stage - a very different image from his usual cheerfulness - Quang Anh said he was psychologically affected because the performance was suddenly changed right before the show.

“I was really nervous about this performance. I had prepared two carefully staged options. When option one was not approved, I immediately switched to option two. But both options were rejected by the Organizing Committee at the last minute, leaving me with no time to react. If I had been informed earlier, I would have chosen a more suitable song,” Quang Anh confided.

He said that in this competition, contestants have to prepare all the staging, costumes, music arrangements, etc. themselves, so when their efforts are thrown away just because of changes beyond their control, feeling frustrated is inevitable.

However, Quang Anh still regained his form in the competition with contestant Thanh Thuy with the song "Noon" (music by Huy Tuan, lyrics by Duong Thu). He performed more confidently, and was praised by judge Ho Ngoc Ha: "Congratulations to Quang Anh for his unique style. Music is not for judging but for enjoying."

Musician Huy Tuan also praised: “I like Quang Anh’s performance. It reminds me of how you came to the competition: Fresh, confident, and fearless.”

However, at the end of live show 3, Quang Anh and contestant Mai Chi were the two who had to stop playing. This was regrettable not only because Quang Anh was leading the vote, but also because he was considered one of the most comprehensive contestants on the show.

The judges have repeatedly affirmed that he is a good stage master, has a clear artistic mindset, knows how to exploit visual effects and chooses songs intelligently.

Stopping at liveshow 3, Quang Anh frankly shared that he did not have too many regrets, because perhaps he was more suitable for another music scene.

Previously, Quang Anh was known to the audience through his role in the TV series Ve Nha Di Con. Participating in the music playground Diem Hen Tai Tai , he showed his diverse musical abilities, from composing, performing to playing musical instruments.

As the valedictorian of the Vocal Music major (Military University of Culture and Arts) and currently a graduate student majoring in Cultural Management at the Central University of Art Education, Quang Anh is gradually asserting himself on the journey to becoming a professional artist.
