Quang Binh: Va Cave and Nuoc Nut Cave continue to bring different experiences to tourists

On December 12, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province issued a document allowing Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park to cooperate with Oxalis Company to continue exploiting the tourism product "Va Cave - Nuoc Nut Cave - different experiences" after a trial exploitation period.

Va Cave is 1.7km long, only about 50m from the back entrance of Son Doong Cave, connecting with Nuoc Nut Cave. The highlight of these two connected caves is the crystal clear underground lakes and thousands of unique, extremely interesting cone-shaped stalactites that seem to grow from underwater and are unlike any stalactites in other caves in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and around the world .

In Nuoc Nut cave, the stalactites and space are red. The terrain inside the cave forms chambers like miniature terraced fields. The cave is very magical when there is light because the ceiling is made of overlapping wavy lines.

These caves were surveyed and published by the British Cave Research Association in 2000.

According to the People's Committee of Quang Binh province, the eco-tourism product "Va Cave - Nuoc Nut Cave - Different Experiences" is limited to the strictly protected zone II of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. This is a nature discovery tour combined with cave tours.

The route is based on existing small trails in the forest and no structures are built on the route to ensure naturalness, protect biodiversity values and natural resources. Therefore, the Hang Va - Hang Nuoc Nut exploration tour welcomes guests with restrictions from January to the end of August.

In addition to the 1-day tour program (only visiting Nuoc Nut Cave), the tourism product "Va Cave - Nuoc Nut Cave - different experiences" has a 2-day 1-night tour program (visiting Nuoc Nut Cave and Va Cave) according to the province's regulations.

The tour operator, Oxalis, said that the interesting experience on this route is that from the cave entrance, visitors wade 500m in the middle of the stream flowing in the cave. At the end of the stream wading section, they have to overcome a nearly 15m high wall with specialized equipment, then see the large cave dome of Nuoc Nut cave and the stalactite lakes in Va cave. Visitors also have interesting experiences with the forest landscape and animals in the primeval forest.

This is an adventure tourism product ranked at the lowest level of difficulty in the group of tours with the world's largest cave Son Doong to meet the needs of experiencing, exploring and conquering natural wonders in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang World Heritage Site of tourists when coming to Quang Binh.
